Allow solo raiders to raid in a party to avoid forcing them to leave the party that they are in.#588

You can’t solo raid in a party rn, which forces you to leave the party that ur in to solo raid a base. I’ve talked to a lot of people in-game including moderators, and they all think that it’s kind of a weird rule.

I purpose allowing the player to do “/advert solo raid” before raiding a base while in a party. The use of this advert will clarify that the raider is raiding by himself and his party members are not involved in the raid.
Obviously adverting “solo raid” will probably ruin the suprise factor in the raid, but I think it is necessary to clarify that only one member of the party is raiding.

Rule that I am trying to change (only the “Solo raiders cannot raid in a party.” part): ERR4. In situations where a solo raid begins using a raid tool (not killing a player) a solo raider does not need to advert raid. Solo raiders cannot raid in a party.

I think the rule will become redundant if changed once people realize how difficult it is to solo raid with an advert. I think they will leave the party considering the little effort it takes considering the benefit of the element of surprise. Another purpose of the rule is to keep those basing on their toes so they can’t just go AFK without worrying if someone is breaking in at that very moment. Finally, a scenario I can think of off the top of my head: you’re raiding and someone outside hears it and decides to counter. They bust in and find you, a fellow party member, already raiding. Awkward.

I always solo raid and advert, to be honest its not that hard because all you have to do is copy and paste the advert, its not like if the defenders didnt hear the emp explosions or the picklocking sound. At least for me its the same thing.

About the second point, I believe that with good communication, scenarios like that shouldnt happen. If I am not mistaken, only cops and vigilantes can counter raids, so for that scenario the thief and the cop shouldnt be in a party anyways. I dont really see the problem.

Honestly even in a party solo raid rules should still apply. There should not be a need to leave party. Solo raid rules should just apply if you are Solo raiding and Party raid if you are more then 1 person raiding

Yeah there should be no reason that people cant solo raid in a party. Even if they have to advert, the people will hear you with emps etc anyways. I really don’t get why its harmful to solo raid and advert it while in a party.
